Cool Gear & The Breast Cancer Research Foundation

October signals the true feeling of Fall, with the leaves changing, a crisp breeze, and lots of people wearing pink and yelling, “Save the TaTas!” While wearing pink isn’t just reserved for October – nor just for Wednesdays – it serves as a reminder to rally behind one of the largest national fundraising campaigns for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Charities big and small have done an incredible job to get people talking about this disease, which has led to education awareness, early detection, and significant medical breakthroughs. While the job is not done, the biggest thing to remember is that this is not just something we need to think about in October; this is a year round subject that you and the strong, beautiful women in your life can be aware of!

Why We Support

CoolGear_BreastCancerResearchFoundationThe easy answer? Because women are awesome… and because we are fortunate to be able to use our platform to help make a difference in this fight.

Cool Gear is proud to support The Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s mission to eradicate breast cancer in our lifetime through a new line of BCRF branded hydration products. #ShopPink during the month of October and Cool Gear is donating 10% of the purchase price from these items to fund research for a cure!

And like everything around here, this isn’t just Cool Gear’s mission, it starts with our employees too.

Cool Gear may be a small company with just 60 employees, but we leverage our brand and its ability to reach people nationwide to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Research.  It doesn’t matter if you are one person or a Fortune 500, there are things you can do to leave this world a better place. #savethetatas  – Rebecca Staaf, Director of Marketing

Don’t ignore what can easily be prevented. Being knowledgable about breast cancer will make a difference in your life and the lives of those you care about. Pretty powerful stuff.” – John Yuskaitis, Senior Designer

As the daughter of a 14 year survivor, breast health has been a concern and focus of mine for half of my life. Being a part of a community and company that understands and supports such a great cause is inspiring for me and my family. I am proud to spread awareness with our products and I am proud of Cool Gear.” – Maryann Stracuzzi, Social Media Specialist

Unfortunately, too many of us know someone who has had or been affected by Breast Cancer; while there have been massive leaps forward, we want to take part in the education process this month, as well as highlight some personal stories & continue to showcase beautiful, strong women, doing amazing things. We hope you join us… tatas ahead!
