National Margarita Day: Cucumber Cilantro Margarita Recipe

Poor Monday, always getting hate mail; which is why we are not surprised that National Margarita Day falls on a Monday. Yes, you may feel a tad bit guilty having a delicious cocktail on your post-weekend-healthy-eating day, but throw your MNF (Monday Night Feelings) aside and honor the holiday!

We’ve concocted the perfect margarita recipe that can be enjoyed shaken, muddled, or blended based on your preferences. It’s a refreshing, light, and flavorful way to enjoy your National Margarita Day!

Cucumber Cilantro Margarita

Ingredients:Margarita Recipe

(makes 4 cocktails)

  • 4 ounces Patron Silver or your favorite tequila
  • 1 cup of limeade juice or margarita mix
  • 1 medium cucumber (seedless preferred)
  • 1/2 bunch of cilantro
  • 2-4 ice cubes (optional)
  • salt for rim (optional)

Blended:

  1. Rinse cucumber & cilantro, roughly chop; cut two limes in half, reserve one half for sliced garnishes.
  2. Add cucumber, cilantro, tequila, limeade, and ice to blender; squeeze the juice from the remaining 3 lime halves into mixture.
  3. Blend on high to desired frozen consistency, add your lime garnish and enjoy your refreshing, green margarita!

Shaken or Muddled:

  1. Rinse cucumber & cilantro, roughly chop; cut two limes in half, reserve one half for sliced garnishes.
  2. Add cucumber, cilantro, tequila, and limeade to a small pitcher; squeeze the juice from the remaining 3 lime halves into mixture.
  3. Stir & serve for simple margs, or use a muddler (or wooden spoon) to mash the cucumber and cilantro to add more flavor.
