National Wine Day: ONEHOPE WINE Spotlight

National Wine Day may not be a real holiday, but it tops the list as favorite for most women you know; book clubs, house wives, business execs, college students, and twenty-somethings can rejoice, because now there’s a legitimate excuse to validate #winenotwednesday. So to prepare for this female driven holiday, we decided to highlight one of our favorite brands of the moment, and fellow #MakeWaves sponsor, ONEHOPE Wines.

So what is ONEHOPE?

ONEHOPE creates products that give people the opportunity to indulge and do good. Primarily produced in collaboration with Rob Mondavi Jr., ONEHOPE provides award-winning wine with a measurable social impact, giving back to various charity organizations through every bottle sold.

Each products benefits one of their aligned partner nonprofits through the ONEHOPE Foundation, which includes support in autism behavioral therapy, sustainability and clean water, pediatric healthcare, supporting our troops, micro financing opportunities, and many more.

ONEHOPE LODI ROSÉ: Help Prevent Ovarian Cancer through education and early prevention.

“A superbly sippable rosé, our 2015 Lodi is the perfect wine for summer with notes of candied watermelon, sandalwood, and raspberry sorbet.” #RoseAllDay baby.

Every two bottles fund a clinical trial for one woman with breast cancer.

“Comforting aromas of fresh baked apple and pear pie with ground nutmeg, crushed cloves, and Madagascar vanilla bean. Warm butterscotch, vanilla and toffee flavors add volume and length to the mid palate. A cleansing finish echoes with a touch of green apple.”
Pretty in pink.

ONEHOPE Wine Rainbow Glitter Edition Brut Sparkling Wine, $59

ONEHOPE RAINBOW GLITTER EDITION BRUT SPARKLING WINE: Every four purchases fund one hour of operational costs for The Trevor Project’s lifeline, which provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth.

“Our California Sparkling Wine is light in color and displays aromas of fresh green apple and nectarine with a hint of fresh baked bread. Crisp, intriguing fresh fruit reminiscent of succulent peach, sweet berries and pear linger on the palate, finishing with creamy and refreshing bubbles. This Brut Sparkling Wine can be paired with appetizers, seafood, sushi as well as a wide range of desserts and cheeses.” Sorry, we started drooling…

Help children with autism, through ABA Therapy.

“This broody Cabernet is full of baked blackberry and deep cassis aromas. Loads of roasted coffee and cocoa notes fill the palate. Hints of sage leaves and the slightest touch of paprika. Fine structure and leathery tannins make this a remarkable wine.”  Bold, romantic date night stylings.

So this National Wine Day we challenge you not only to indulge in a delicious sip or two, but to also learn more about what kind of social impact you can make in your everyday life. Supporting companies with a charitable structure is a great start, especially with the takeaway that we can all be the good we wish to see.
